Westwood Crossing is an affordable apartment community centrally located in the Westwood neighborhood in Denver, Colorado. The previously vacant site now provides the community with 98 units of housing in a portion of Denver that has one of the greatest needs for low and moderately priced housing.
A public-private partnership between the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA), the Denver Urban Renewal Authority (DURA), the city and county of Denver and Colorado Division of Housing and equity investment made by Lexton McDermott the redevelopment of the site a possibility.
The property was designed to meet the Enterprise Green Community Criteria, which will enable lower energy costs for residents and a lessened environmental impact for the community at large. The development also includes more several live-work units that are available to local businesses. The property also features a mural designed by an artist from the community.
The Westwood Crossings provides its residents large apartments with central air conditioning, walk-in closets, patios, balconies along with resident clubhouse, children’s play area, fitness center and on-site laundry facility.
Westwood Crossing was completed in 2017 and offers apartments with rents in the 30%, 40%, and 50% AMI limits.
